Product Review: Tend Skin

Tend Skin
Since the season of bikini and beach wear is upon us, I thought I’d let you all in on the best little secret since sliced bread.
It’s called Tend Skin, it is for your razor burn. We all know how aggravating and irritating (literally) that it can be. Not to mention, how self-conscience it can make you feel when wearing one of these.
J.Crew Pindot Bikini
Thus, this is where Tend Skin comes in. The prices depend on the format of the solution you choose and the size. Either way it’s a great investment because a little goes a long way. Not to mention it’s so easy, you just dab it on after you shave sensitive areas and it prevents razor burn. This product is especially wonderful if you shave a lot or already have sensitive skin.

Easter Egg

Easter is less than a week away and I know myself and many of my friends are looking for that perfect, stylish, church appropriate dress to wear. It is a hard line to walk- finding a dress that fits in between style and conservativeness. But these dresses definitely meet these distinctions.
No matter what spring color you wish your Easter dress to be, hopefully I have found one that suits you!
Alice + Olivia
This Molly Mod Dress by Alice+Olivia ($396) encompasses just about every color an easter egg could be, with its cliched waist and fitted skirt it’s great for Easter and other spring parties.
Muse
This bright orange floral piece by Muse ($160) will definitely make a statement, paired with brown wedges and a white cardigan it’s perfect for your outdoor brunch!
Britt Ryan
This other colorful piece by new designer Britt Ryan ($232), embodies feminine details, with its ruffled sleeves and light cantaloupe color.
Shoshanna
This stretch white canvas dress by Shoshanna ($355) is adorable, the subtle beaded detail at the top makes its a simple yet fashionable piece to wear on Sunday.
Donna Morgan
Lastly, this bright turquoise Donna Morgan ($130) dress is bright and cheery perfect for your easter egg hunt and festivities.

Cowboy Up

Cowboy boots have become a very popular staple for gorgeous stars like Carrie Underwood, the good news is that these kicks aren’t just for country crooners.
Cowboy boots are great because they are very versatile. They can go easily from the street to the red carpet. However, more often I see girls wearing their boots with jeans and tee’s walking around campus. They are casual footwear that spice up any outfit, like these from Lucchese ($309).

Lucchese Boots
Cowboy boots can also be dressy, try these from Ariat with the turquoise stitching and detail ($159), they’re a great way to dress up a white dress or a jean skirt.

Ariat Turquoise Boots
Another great thing about cowboy boots are that there are so many different styles out there. The shape of the toe alone can vary widely (round, square, etc.), as well as the height of the calf and heel. Additionally, the type of leather that is used  (lizard, alligator, ostrich, etc.). With all of these variations, you’re sure to find one that suits you, your comfort needs and your personal style.
Boots can be found at large shoe department stores like Zappos and DSW as well as “cowboy specialty” stores like Cavenders or Sheplers. If you still can’t find something that you want exactly, there are multiple companies that will personalize boots (shoprawhide.com).
Bottom line- cowboys boots look great on everyone and they are an accessory that have been in the spotlight a lot lately. They’re perfect with jeans on a cool Fall day, great to pair with jean shorts (hello Daisy Duke) or compliment a sun-dress in the Summer, so cowboy up!

J Girl for J Brand

For those of you who love J Brand jeans, you can now spread that love to your favorite tween and tot counterparts.

J Girl By J Brand, just launched at J.Crew. Now I know thats a mouthful of J's, however the point is that now you can style your daughter, little sister, godchild, etc. with the most adorable denim! Trust me it is the best thing to ever hit the schoolyard, and talk about dressing "mommy and me" (I can see Katie and Suri now, donning matching denim).

These tween leggings ($99) are so cute, especially with a colorful sweater and ballet flats! They are literally mini-versions of what I wear everyday.

Also, these jean shorts are so cute. They're ruffed up enough even the rebellious, tomboy 11-year-old will love these!

Almost every shopping website, has a link where you can “join” their mailing list. I know what you’re thinking, mailing list? My inbox already gets flooded with spam and junk mail everyday, I don’t need another thing to delete. Sunburned?

I just returned from spring break... but my suitcase wasn't the only thing that came home with me.

Sand, sleep deprivation and sunburned peeling skin made the trip home too. Despite the three bottles of sunscreen that I lathered on my skin over the week, I STILL started peeling. And there is nothing that says "I over did it", more than flakey skin. The best way to deal with this skin is to get two things asap.

First, you need a great body scrub to slough off your dead skin. Try one that smells delicious so that while you're exfoliating you feel like you're in a spa, I suggest this one from Bath and Body Works, Sugared Blood Orange ($22). If you're really looking to spa yourself back into reality after a week at the beach, try this box set by fresh- Sugar Lover Set ($69) it contains a body scrub, perfume and a lip treatment. Finally, if you broke the bank this spring break you can always make your own scrub with 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup oatmeal.

Secondly, to zap you're skin back to that sun kissed glow you will need a fabulous moisturizer. Stick to the milk, Kate Somervile's Goat Milk Cream ($55) or Archipelago's Oat Milk Hydrating Lotion ($23.99), it smells absolutely divine and both will leave your skin super silky and smooth.

After these two post-beach moves, light yourself a relaxing candle like this one from Tocca Beauty (prices vary by size) and bask in your glowing skin!

Wedges For All

Wedges are the prefect way to dress up your outfit this Spring! They are stylish and way more comfortable than just your regular pair of heels. Not to mention that wearing any type of heel elongates you and your body, in turn making you look slimmer (and who wouldn't want that)!

This season there are so many different heights, styles, colors and prices of wedges out there, so you're bound to find something that suits your own personal style. Additionally, there are so many different outfits to wear your wedges with this spring, you're going to find multiple options with even just one pair in your closet.

First, I think that wedges with cork bottoms are great to match with simple sundresses or matchstick white jeans. The cork bottom, makes them casual and great for everyday wear. However, whatever color you choose on top can still accent your outfit perfectly. I recommend these from Nine West ($79) or these from Mia ($75).
                                   Nine West- Getby ($79)

Another big look for wedges this spring, are the adorned wedges. Remember how in my article "Spring Hardware" I said that metal grommets, buckles, etc. were in? Well the same trend applies to your wedge. From jeweled wedges like these from Banana Republic ($98) to these grommeted wedges from Tory Burch ($325), the more "hardware" the better.
Tory Burch- Grommet Wedge ($325)

Looking for something a little bit bolder and brighter? Well try these two amazing aqua colored wedges. One is from Moschino Cheap and Chic ($395) and they other are from Frye ($178). They are two eye popping wedges perfect for the adventurous fashionista.
Moschino Cheap and Chic- Sandwich ($325)

Lastly, it is important to remember that not all wedges have to be three inches tall. There are plenty of lower heeled options out there, like these chic but simple wedges also from Nine West ($69) and these gladiator style wedges from Steve Madden ($89.95).

Nine West- Wonton ($69)

No matter what your color preferences, price range or personal taste there is a wedge for you this spring! Like the title said: wedges for all!
