Masters Fresh

The Masters start Thursday in Augusta, Georgia, and being a student at the University of  Georgia, I am in the heart of the action. Girls might not get into the golf, but definitely get into the fashionable look that is golf season.
While most of Georgia and America will turn their eyes towards Tiger on Thursday, if you wear of few of these golf perfect pieces, you might just get some of those eyes on you instead.
Here are some great Master appropriate preppy pieces to wear this weekend, even if you don’t care about golf at all!
Britt Ryan
These white Warwick shorts with gold button detail ($110) from Britt Ryan, might be a little short for the course, but are great to pair with a polo tee for a laid back “yacht club” look.
Ralph Lauren
This pleated Willa jersey skirt from Ralph Lauren ($198) is sophisticated and classic. Its high waist makes it versatile and fun.
Calvin Klein
Another classic designer Calvin Klein, gives us this cross back pleated dress ($128). The crossed halter top makes it sporty and feminine.
Now on to accessories, even if you can’t pull off the preppy look with your actually clothing, here are a few accessories that anyone can handle.
Ray-Ban
These Ray-Ban New Wayfarers ($118), are the original wayfarers updated. In classic tortoise shell, they’re stylish and sun-smart!
Converse
Nothing looks cleaner or preppier than a pair of Jack Purcells ($55). Great with tennis skirts or bermuda shorts these shoes have been around a long time- a real old but goody.
Lacoste
Lastly, even if you can’t bring yourself to don any of these items, you can always smell “preppy,” and no one does that better than Lacoste, with their Touch of Pink perfume ($52).

Wrap It Up With La Mer

I’ve noticed a lot of girls on campus lately with a multitude of small leather bracelets on one wrist, creating a chunky bohemian look. In addition to these leather wrist accessories they throw in a peace-sign encrusted chains or colorful beaded bangles, topping it all off with a watch.
I’ve now learned of the solution to their problem. It’s called La Mer, La Mer is a watch company that does traditional style watches and great wrap watches. Wrap being the key word here, when your watch is wrapped it takes up more space on your wrist consequently making the chunky look much easier.
La Mer’s wrap watches range from their simple wraps to their layer wraps. Most commonly the bands are an assortment of leather colors, with a square face, like this Hot Pink Patent watch ($84).

Another great thing about these La Mer wrap watches are the amount of detail and accessories you can get on them. This Peacewrap watch ($108) has just a few peace sign accents.

Where as this Turquoise Gold Seaside Wrap Watch ($110) has a lot of chunky gold pieces hanging from it.

If the leather bands aren’t for you, La Mer also has an assortment of metal wrap watches like this Gunmetal color Disco Chain Wrap Watch ($108).

If some of these watches don’t spike your interest check out La Mer’s website, where you can personalize a watch. From the color to the studded details, its all you! Adding as much as you want so you can achieve that chunky layered look without all of the bracelets.

April Showers

As the first week of April has almost passed, I thought it was definitely time to talk about accessories that will keep you not only dry, but keep you super stylish too.
Everyone knows the saying “April showers bring May flowers,” and as great as the flowers in May, staying dry in April isn’t easy and it’s definitely not pretty. That being said, here are some great items to keep you dry this month.
First, this Jack by BB Dakota Trench is incredible ($53). Nothing says classic and timeless like a trench coat. You can count on this piece being a staple in your closet for many years to come.

Another great rain jacket that I fell in love with is this Burberry white drawstring jacket, although it’s a little more expensive than the other trench ($495), you are buying a Burberry Jacket and there is no better way to look stylish in the elements that in white.

Now we move on down to your feet! Some of my personal favorite rain boots are from the brand Hunter. Hunter sells their boots ($115) on J.Crew, Bloomingdales, Nordstroms, DSW, etc. so you should definitely be able to find your size and color preference without any hassle. They are very durable and comfortable.

Lastly, for your head. Once you’ve gotten your body and your feet taken care of, the last thing as every girl knows is a great umbrella. No one wants to stick their head under the cap on their jacket, your head just starts sweating and your hair goes kaput. Thats why you need a great umbrella…ella…ella (thank  you Rihanna) like this one from Echo Design ($35).

Until May, everyone stay dry!

Product Review: Tend Skin

Tend Skin
Since the season of bikini and beach wear is upon us, I thought I’d let you all in on the best little secret since sliced bread.
It’s called Tend Skin, it is for your razor burn. We all know how aggravating and irritating (literally) that it can be. Not to mention, how self-conscience it can make you feel when wearing one of these.
J.Crew Pindot Bikini
Thus, this is where Tend Skin comes in. The prices depend on the format of the solution you choose and the size. Either way it’s a great investment because a little goes a long way. Not to mention it’s so easy, you just dab it on after you shave sensitive areas and it prevents razor burn. This product is especially wonderful if you shave a lot or already have sensitive skin.
